Here is my list of the 5 best ice cream shops in NJ.
1. Thomas Sweet
This Princeton, NJ staple has plenty of great hard and soft serve ice cream, plus mix-ins. They also own a chocolate store a block or two away. The chocolates aren’t anything special, but the ice cream is amazing, and that makes this one worth checking out. It is very creamy, especially if you get a mix-in!
2. Mike and Anne’s Frozen Delights
This IceCream shop has been owned by 3 other people before, 2 named Mike. The ice cream is creamy and flavorful. For more info on this ice cream spot, look at the 2008 Munchmobile Trip that went here.
3. Maggiemoo’s
OK, it’s a chain. I have a soft spot for Maggie Moos. Is that a problem? Their ice cream flavors are amazing and the mixins are good, and… agh! it’s just really good. That’s all I have to say.
4. The Bent Spoon
This other princeton shop is famous for their ice cream and “I Love NJ” shirts. I walked in their once with one on and got free ice cream! Some blogs call this spot “the best ice cream in the world” Seriously. Google it.
5. Halo Farms/Halo Pub/ other Halo spots
Halo Farms makes great, creamy ice cream, from the Farms in Trenton to the shops in Princeton and other places.
And until next time on New Jersey Travel Secrets, that’s all!
